Challenges...challenging?

I was reading Ali's Blog last night and she challenged us to do a layout about someone we're proud of, so I decided to combine that with my scrap survivor challenge this week...since "so proud" happens to be 7 letters! :)

:) Who would have known! The Scrap Survivor challenge for this week was AMAZING! I'm telling you, it kept me awake last night thinking about how to get all of that onto my page without it looking cluttered, or like I just stuck things on there cause I was challenged to!! :)

I used MM paint, the tiny letter/number stickers are MM.
It was crazy...cause you couldn't overlap things...like...I had circles cut out of patterned papers...but the 3 patterned papers had to be separate from the 4 circles! :) Anyway, it was fun, and I actually do like the way it turned out, and to me, everything looks like it has an actual reason to be on the page! :) Thanks for looking, guys (gals!)! :)

Costumes

Jason had his Halloween party with the guys at work on Saturday night, so pretty much all day Saturday we were working on his costume, but it was fun. Heh, at first I tried sewing his shovel holster...which, by the way, was made out of a really ugly purse from Goodwill. :) So, I totally bent the needle on my machine, and ended up pretty much stapling the entire thing together! It was an adventure for sure! My costume came together pretty easily, cause I wore the same thing last year, heh, but the dress was a bit more snug this year than last. So we headed out to the party, got a little lost several times on the way there, and finally made it. It was fun to see people's costumes, and they had fun halloween-y treats, and a haunted basement and a magic show, very cool...but my favorite part was at the end when the dry ice punch bowl arrived, dry ice is so much fun to play with! Anyway, it was a good time. :)

Happy Mail day!

I got two packages in the mail today, yay!! The first one is from Patti Milazzo and Fiskars, yay! Very cool new punch that lets you see where you're punching!
The second is from Sarah some very fun Doodlebug papers, and a bunch of fun embelishments! I am very excited to get scrapping with my new stuff! :)

Same Page-

So that we're all on the same page here...this is the Shoveler. There is a movie, Mystery Men, about a misfit group of superheros, and he is one of the characters. If you have not seen it, I totally recomend it, with the exception of probably one scene. So, that is who Jason is going to dress up as for the Halloween party this weekend...so far we have the yellow hard hat and a headlight...so we need to get a little more done!! He he he, it will be fun, though. :)

Stuff from Elsie-

There is my Elsie Skeleton posing for a picture with the Pirate Radio CD, he he he...we ate all the candy, so sadly, it was not there for the photoshoot. :) But it sure was yummy!
I think Jason finally decided to be the shoveler for the halloween party this weekend...so I'll probably be a fairy like I was last year. I thought it would be cool to go as Peanut Butter and Jelly, but oh well. Have a great week, all!

Little Cuties!

Yesterday was Tammy's birthday party, and definitely one of the best parts was getting to see little Timmy and Marissa....I still haven't gotten to hold her, though... maybe by Thanks- giving or so, eh?

Lucky Me

I've been really lucky, and people have been really generous to me lately, and I love getting free stuff! I won a little skeleton girl and a CD and some candy on Elsie's blog today, out of like...600 people, I'm very excited for that! I will have to take pictures of all the fun goodies I get in the mail when they start coming! Here are a couple of pages...the one of Magen and I for the 5 for 5 challenge...(I used more than 5!) And one is my BISC page for this week, all black & white, and no embelishments or journaling! (That was hard!)

Baby Fever

Nothing makes me want a baby more badly then seeing adorable pictures of my nephews and nieces!! This is Alex in his Halloween costume...there is nothing cuter, I'm telling you. Someday I'm going to have adorable little ones, I can't wait!!

I'm sorry!

...to those of you who are wonderful enough to check this thing everyday! I love you guys! (or gals as the case may be!) I've had kinda an off week, kinda depressed and such, and not feeling my best. I feel kind of identity-less without a job...and it's not like I have friends I can hang out with, heh. My Hubby works a lot, and so my days are rather boring and monotonous, you know? So...that is the reason for my depression, I suppose...but I've had enough crying for a while, and I need to snap out of it! I actually had a really good week, scrap-wise...I won that wonderful $50 paper trimmer from MM, can't wait 'til I get it, the blade in my current trimmer is dulling REALLY quickly! I had aother oportunity come up, where I just do a couple of online surveys each month for a company, and they send me some scrap goodies, very cool! Also, I won last week's HMITM challenge, and will receive a prize for that, which is all sorts of exciting! :)
So, I shall leave you with a fun scrap page I did the other day and finally got around to uploading! :)

What not to Wear.

The more I watch that show the more I become convinced that someone is going to put me on there!

I didn't make it to the next round of MM Idol, (but I am totally ok with that!) I voted for Jennifer Pebbles, I like her digi-paper hybrid stuff, I could look at it for hours! She made it to the next round, so I am very excited to see what the top five have in store for us! :)

Here is a sneak peak of one of my favorite pages in our wedding album. I am having so much fun doing this 12x12! I am finding that I don't have to take up the entire page, and that I usually like it better if I don't, it's been a learning experience, and totally fun!

Making Memories Idol!

So, I have to tell you, I woke up this morning and went to check my email...as is customary for me in the morning, and I had an email that said that out of almost 1000 entries into the Making Memories Idol contest, I was one of the 20 finalists!!!!! You have no idea...like...this gave me heart palpitations!! Oh dear, I can still almost not believe it, except that I went to the website and SAW my stuff there! I like...wow, I entered cause MM is like...one of my favorite brands EVER, but I really didn't expect to be chosen! So the next step is that between now and TONIGHT! people will vote for their favorite entry, and Wednesday the top 5 in votes will move on in the competition. Now, I am just totally ok with being in the top 20 (I get the new MM paper trimmer, AHHHH!!) ...BUT if you would like to vote for me, you can go here and click on the "sign up to vote." These girls that design for Poppy Ink AMAZE me...I could look at their creations for HOURS, I'm telling you! If you like to scrap...or even just look at pretty things, check them out. Poppy Ink's kits are always sold out, and I'm broke anyway, but these pages are full of amazing ideas anyway, stuff that you can do with ANYTHING, it's just all the ideas that I love, SO FUN!
